This Privacy Policy explains how PLUMB (“we”, “us”, or “our”), operated in connection with House Collection, collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use our private procurement platform and related messaging services.
By using PLUMB, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
WHO WE ARE
PLUMB is a private, members-only procurement and project platform designed exclusively for professional interior design studios and architectural practices. It is part of the House Collection product family and provides structured workflows, catalog intelligence, and optional WhatsApp messaging for registered members.
DATA WE COLLECT
Depending on how you use PLUMB, we may collect:
- Account information — name, email address, studio/organization affiliation, and authentication credentials
- Project and content data — projects, specifications, uploads, favorites, and related studio content you submit to the platform
- Usage and technical data — logs, device/browser information, and operational diagnostics needed to operate and secure the service
- Phone number — when your studio associates a WhatsApp number with your user account for PLUMB messaging
WHATSAPP MESSAGING
If your phone number is linked to a PLUMB user account, we use WhatsApp (via Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API) solely to support PLUMB-related communication.
Purpose of phone numbers
Phone numbers are stored only to:
- Identify registered PLUMB users who message our WhatsApp business number
- Send and receive PLUMB-related messages — including replies to your WhatsApp chats with PLUMB, and platform digests or notifications tied to your membership and projects
What we do not do with WhatsApp data
- We do not use your phone number for advertising or audience targeting
- We do not sell your phone number or WhatsApp message content to third parties
- We do not send marketing messages unrelated to PLUMB product or project services
Message processing
Inbound WhatsApp messages may be processed by our AI assistant within your studio’s isolated context to answer product or project questions and, where requested, deliver media or other PLUMB content back through WhatsApp.
Opt-out and stop messaging
To stop WhatsApp messaging associated with your account:
- Ask your studio administrator to unlink your phone number from your PLUMB user profile; or
- Email hello@housecollection.com to request removal of your phone association and related WhatsApp message data held by PLUMB
HOW WE USE DATA
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the PLUMB platform
- Authenticate members and manage studio access
- Deliver support and service communications
- Protect security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues
- Send and receive PLUMB-related WhatsApp messages as described above
SHARING
We do not sell personal data. We do not share studio project data with brands or manufacturers for advertising.
We may share data with service providers who process it on our behalf to operate PLUMB, including:
- Cloud infrastructure providers (for example, Amazon Web Services)
- Meta WhatsApp Cloud API, solely as the channel for sending and receiving WhatsApp messages
- AI service providers used to power chat and assistant features
These providers are engaged to deliver the service and are not permitted to use your personal information for their own unrelated marketing.
RETENTION
We retain personal information while your membership is active and as needed to provide the service. When you request account deletion, we purge associated data within 90 days, subject to any limited retention required for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
SECURITY
PLUMB uses professional-grade safeguards appropriate for confidential studio data, including:
- Industry-standard encryption for data storage and transmission
- Secure authentication and access controls
- Cloud hosting with operational monitoring and access restrictions
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We continuously assess and improve our controls.
YOUR RIGHTS
Subject to applicable law and your membership arrangements, you may request:
- Access to personal information we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Export of your data in a structured format
- Deletion of your account and associated personal data
- Removal of your WhatsApp phone association as described above
To submit a request, email hello@housecollection.com with the subject line “Privacy Request”, include the email address associated with your PLUMB account, and describe the request (access, correction, export, or deletion). We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.
CHILDREN
PLUMB is a business service for professional studios and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
CHANGES
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to members with reasonable notice. Continued use of PLUMB after the effective date of an updated policy constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
